Ready, Set, Fuse
Part 1
2025
Textile print / risograph / photo print
The project, Ready, Set, Fuse, emerged from reflections on my identity as a Korean person living overseas. For part one of the project, I used elements of changho. Changho, a wooden frame structure that functions as both a door and a window, is known for its geometric simplicity and for creating striking light compositions.
I wanted to create a framework for a grid-based design system capable of generating different motif combinations. By preserving certain traditional elements while reinterpreting and adapting others, I aimed to create a design system that blends both the past and the present.
